A left-hand batsman and left-arm medium pacer from Vidarbha, Shrikant Wagh made his first-class debut in the year 2007 against Kerala. In the 2010-11 season, he was the leading wicket-taker for Vidarbha in the Ranji Trophy. He was sent to the Australian Institute of Sports by the MRF Academy. He had also made it to the 30-member squad of the Rajasthan Royals in the 2010 IPL. He was then roped in by the Pune Warriors India in 2011.
